HarperCrewe showcases exclusive buying incentives during New Homes Week at Higham Ferrers
To mark New Homes Week (NHW), HarperCrewe is highlighting the exclusive Stamp Duty paid incentive during its ‘Fall in Love With Your New Home’ event to help homebuyers by paying Stamp Duty on selected new homes at Higham Ferrers.
Now in its 21st year, the annual NHW campaign launched by the Home Builders Federation (HBF) aims to highlight the benefits of new build homes and provide a platform for the home building industry, homeowners and potential buyers to recognise the value of modern developments.
The theme of this year's week-long event is 'Power to Move', with each day focusing on a different benefit of new homes.
Today (Thursday, February 5) highlights how developer incentives and support schemes can help overcome financial hurdles and make homeownership more accessible, even in today's challenging market.

With changes to the Stamp Duty threshold and limited affordable lending options, these incentives have become increasingly valuable for buyers.
Danielle Heard, sales director at HarperCrewe, said: "We’re aware that Stamp Duty can be a significant additional cost when purchasing a home.
"That’s why during New Homes Week we are highlighting our ‘Fall in Love With Your Home’ event weekend, where those reserving one of our selected homes at Higham Ferrers in Northamptonshire will have Stamp Duty paid for them. It’s a huge saving.”
This year, New Homes Week is headed up by well-known online presenters - award-winning TV presenter and qualified mortgage adviser Tayo Oguntonade and lifestyle authority Olivia Bowen.
Tayo said: "The financial advantages of buying a new build home can be significant but are sometimes overlooked by those beginning their property search.
"Developer incentives like deposit contributions, part exchange schemes, and assisted move initiatives can often provide that much-needed boost to reduce upfront costs and streamline the buying process.
“In today's market, where saving for deposits takes longer and lending criteria is squeezed, these incentives can be the difference between buying now or waiting years.
"There are good options for potential homebuyers to explore, which could make homeownership immediately achievable depending on their personal circumstances.”
Danielle said: “Saving on up-front costs when purchasing a brand-new home with us is just one way our residents can save money, but there are longer term savings as well.
"That’s why we’re also inviting people who are interested in the energy efficiency and cost savings associated with living in a newly built HarperCrewe home to join us on a ‘Green Premium Tour’.
"They can explore and understand how air source heat pumps and solar panels work to save you money and positively impact the carbon footprint associated with home ownership.
"New Homes Week is about making sure people are making fully informed decisions and we’re proud to help.”
Neil Jefferson, chief executive at the Home Builders Federation, said: “New Homes Week is the perfect time to shine a light on how buying incentives offered on new build homes are helping people move into homes faster.
"Builders are offering schemes such as deposit contributions, part exchange, and assisted moves that make the process simpler and support buyers in overcoming financial hurdles that unlock opportunity to take those steps onto, up or down the property ladder.
"From first-time buyers to growing families and downsizers, these initiatives provide practical help and reassurance that simply isn’t available when purchasing an older property.”
