Grieving family of Corby man appeal for help to give him a proper send off
The family of a homeless man who was found dead in Corby last week have begun an appeal to raise funds for his funeral.
David Matthew was just 39 when he died at a hotel in the Old Village where he had been temporarily housed by Corby Council during the coronavirus crisis. He has been suffering from cancer and there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

His sons Johnjoe and Jamie as well as his wider family are trying to raise money to give David - described as the ‘life and soul’ of every party - a decent funeral.
So his former partner Emma Allan has launched a https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/Emma-Allan-2020?utm_term=k5ygqGKEN|crowdfunding page|} which has already raised £150 in his memory.
She said: “Unfortunately with the current situation funds are tight for the family as well as most of the population.

“My boys are devastated at that idea.”
