GCSEs: Southfield School, Kettering

Students have been congratulated as they find out their GCSE grades.

It may not be the normal results day for pupils at Southfield School in Kettering, but there is still plenty to celebrate.

A spokesman for the school said: "We would like congratulate our Year 11 students on their results given that this has been a difficult and anxious time.

"We have been incredibly impressed by their resilience and strength of character in managing this unprecedented situation.

"The results are a testament to their hard work and perseverance over many years.

"The overwhelming majority of our students have achieved their target/aspired grades and secured their preferred destination with a significant number joining our sixth form from September.

"This is an exciting time to be joining Southfield Sixth Form.

"Our new dedicated sixth form centre building, shown here, will be opening in September.

"This will feature 10 classrooms, IT suites, a 220+ seat lecture theatre and a bespoke, contemporary coffee shop.
