Fundraiser started for Corby cousins' families after tragic holiday incident

A fundraising page has been set up to help the families of the Corby cousins involved in the tragic incident in which Jessica Hayes, 15, and Mikey Connelly, 13, lost their lives, and James Connelly,15, was seriously injured.

The teenagers were on a family holiday on the island of Rhodes when the three were involved in a parasailing incident on Wednesday (October 28).

Tributes from their families described Jessica as 'the brightest of bright stars with the world at her feet' and Mikey as 'the most talented gentleman with charisma in spades'.

The Go Fund Me page has been organised by Danielle Baker and Jade Hayes.

It said: "On Wednesday 28th of October 2020 , Jessica Hayes, Mikey Connelly and James Connelly were involved in a parasailing incident while on a family holiday in Rhodes.

"We are heartbroken to say that Jessica and Mikey lost their lives at the scene. James is seriously ill in hospital with multiple injuries.

"We are raising money for both families to be used to support them both now and with the struggles that lie ahead."
