Full steam ahead for Corby train club Christmas light switch on

A Corby model railway club will signal that Christmas is down the track when they officially switch on their festive light display.

Corby and District Model Railway Society CDMRS will open at 6pm tonight with their dazzling light show at their Corby headquarters.

Craig Tyler CDMRS Chairman said: "The Corby and District Model Railway Society have been busy getting ready for their Santa Special trains events again this year.

"The events are bigger and better than last year with well over 360,00 LED lights, inflatables and lots more."

Mayor of Corby Ray Beeby will be flicking the switch on the lights on tonight (Tuesday, December 10).

Entry is free with train rides only costing 50p, with refreshments available on the night.

The display will continue on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday until Christmas Day, from 6pm onwards at the society headquarters, Quarry Close, Kelvin Grove, Corby, NN17 1AZ.
