At the event, people will be able to enjoy all the fun of Street Food Saturdays they would normally come to expect but with a Halloween theme.

Dominic Douglas, who owns Fly By Bars, said: “We’re trying to give a free event, just to give people something to do because some of these events are quite dear.

“We’re hoping the weather, fingers crossed, holds out. We’ve got about 800 people interested. We did an event in East Carlton in August and had about 400 to 500 then so we’re advising people to turn up early.

“It’s a family friendly event, multi-generational for everybody. It’s free and open to everyone and that’s the vibe we’ve had at Street Food.

This event is not the scary walk that East Carlton is known for.

There will be a fancy dress competition, with prizes for: best child (£40 voucher for The Entertainer), best couple (two meals and two drinks on the night), and best family (£50 voucher for the Sondes Arms).

Children will also be able to enjoy Corby Library presenting their ‘Spooky Storytime’, Terry from Corby Flow Arts showcasing their ribbon and fire performance, games, Halloween crafting and colouring as well as mini fairground rides.

DJ PMC will be ‘on the decks spinning some creepy classics to keep you moving all night’.

Fly By Bars’ pop-up bar will be serving up Halloween specials including warm mulled cider, mulled wine, loaded hot chocolate, grown up hot chocolate with spiced rum and Halloween cocktails, as well as non-alcoholic beer and soft drinks.

There will also be seven different high quality food traders there offering doughnuts, tacos, halloumi fries, pizza and more.

Dominic said: “The traders we’re getting in now are really top quality traders and all the traders that work with us are always saying how nice it is in Corby.”

Next year, Street Food Fridays will be back in West Glebe Park starting on April 28, as well as in East Carlton Park as Street Food Saturdays starting on May 6.
