A Wellingborough firm raised more than £400 by swapping their office dress for something a little more festive in the run-up to Christmas.

Goodey and Howell/Plumbco in Finedon Road, Wellingborough, once again held their Christmas jumper fundraiser to raise funds for Glamis Hall.

They paid £5 for every jumper photo posted on their Facebook page.

One of Glamis Hall's volunteer drivers, Trevor Coates, recently went along to receive the cheque for £405 from Karl Howell.

Graham Campbell from Glamis Hall said: "Karl and all the staff at Goodey and Howell/Plumbco always help throughout the year with fundraising and raffle prizes for Glamis Hall and it is appreciated so much by everyone."

Glamis Hall is a community centre on the Queensway estate which was taken over by a group of friends when the centre and its services were at risk of closure in 2014.

The centre has gone from strength to strength since the group took over, including the day centre for the over 50s.

The centre also has a large hall with a kitchen and servery, a community (meeting) room, and sports changing rooms.

Regular events include race nights, quiz nights and car boot sales as well as running a youth club and football club.
