The Core team are going analogue and are encouraging people to briefly turn off their computers and pick up the phone for a chat with Joe.

Joe Flavin said: "We think this is a great way to continue communication with anyone who is starting to feel jaded by technology or indeed who hasn’t got access to it but still wants to connect.

"Whilst acknowledging that there is a lot of positivity in relation to online activity, and its ability to keep people in touch and connected, we feel that it's important too to have a means of communication that isn’t necessarily reliant on computers and broadband.

"You don’t have to be in a vulnerable position to call this number. It’s a way to have a chat, pass the time, talk to someone about creative things, hopes and indeed fears - if that is where you are at.

"But it isn’t a frontline service as provided by the council, it’s a service for those in the middle and should feel completely accessible and fun to call."
