Family activities and inventive artists at Well Creative Festival in Wellingborough this month
Made With Many is holding the 2026 Well Creative Festival on Saturday, March 21, bringing creativity and community pride to the town centre.
From 1pm to 8pm, the 2026 festival will take over the town by bringing captivating street performers, family activities and inventive artists at venues across Wellingborough.
Illuminated inflatables, whimsical walkabout puppetry and glowing lantern art will adorn the town centre including Ocho the Octopus, a spectacular gigantic puppet, and Ember the magnificent dragon, who will weave across the festival thanks to two skilled puppeteers.
Made With Many’s co-director, Vicky Frayard, said: “We are so impressed once again with how hard our Canvas group of young people have worked to curate another outstanding Well Creative line-up —giving up their own time to bring a free, fun-packed day of creativity to Wellingborough.
“We also want to thank the Swansgate Shopping Centre for being our 2026 main festival partner, who will be supporting our festival in various capacities.”
Well Creative Festival was made possible by Arts Council England, is produced by Made With Many and designed by Canvas, Made With Many’s youth forum, bringing a fun, free and friendly festival to the town to celebrate local creativity.
Workshop zones will give attendees the chance to join in, with local artist Phiona Richards hosting Sunburst Books, a relaxed drop-in workshop where participants decorate small notebooks using neon and metallic designs.
Mike Payton will also be delighting audiences with magical, imaginative storytelling sessions. Made With Many’s Shed Of Culture will also install a pop-up arts space co-designed by local young people.
A programme detailing all the events happening on March 21 will be available on the day, with all entertainment being completely free.
