Emergency service crews have been called out to a Corby village after a car smashed into a house just before 4.30am today (Saturday).

Members of Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue helped colleagues from Northamptonshire Police and East Midlands Ambulance Service at the scene in Middleton, near Corby,

A crew from Corby Fire Station made the vehicle safe after it had crashed into the home - no one was trapped in the car and advice was given to the owner of the property.

A tweet from Northants Fire said: "04:03hrs Crew from Corby mobilised to report of RTC, car into house. No persons trapped. FS made vehicle safe. Advice given to occupier of building. Ambulance personnel & @NorthantsPolice also in attendance. #Middleton."
