Matthew Peleszok, event director of Desborough Green Space Junior parkrun, said: "After 13 months away it was perfect timing to see us return on our birthday.

"The atmosphere before the children started was lovely to see and hear.

"Something that has been missing from our communities for such a long period.

"We hope to grow over the coming months and continue to provide a free weekly opportunity for children to be active."
