The taste of Italy is coming to Wellingborough's Castle Theatre with its new restaurant.

It is hoped theatre-goers will love the freshly prepared stone-baked pizzas when the new restaurant opens on Valentine's Day.

Since Parkwood Leisure took over the running of the theatre in January 2019, offering customers a new, pre-theatre dining experience has been a priority for them and the team are delighted to be opening soon.

A new pizza restaurant is opening at Wellingborough's Castle Theatre

The theatre used to be home to Franks hamburger house, but the council said they would be moving out when it was announced that Parkwood Leisure had secured the contract in 2018.

Diners will be able to choose from an extensive menu of artisan pizzas using ingredients which pay homage to the original Napoli pizza masters while also adding their own twist from modern Italian culture.

They will all be freshly prepared and stone baked on site.

Throughout the Autumn, there has been extensive decoration work to create a clean, modern and vibrant dining area and menu to enhance the theatre experience for visitors.

The launch has also resulted in additional staff for the theatre, with a new team of kitchen and restaurant staff joining the company.

Pre-show dining bookings are now being taken by calling the Box Office on 01933 270 007 between 10am and 4pm.
