Kate Ilott, events manager at Cransley Hospice Trust, said: “We recognise the poignancy of the location for our supporters and welcome the opportunity for everyone to come together in remembrance of those who are no longer with us, whether their families have received care from Cransley Hospice or not, so we really do hope as many people as possible will join us this year in person.”

The specialist clinical teams at Cransley Hospice provide ‘outstanding compassionate care’ to patients and their families each year which is only possible thanks to the ongoing support and generosity of local people.

Anyone can dedicate a light on the tree to a loved one by making a donation that will be used to provide a full range of specialist services to patients at the end of life in north Northamptonshire.

This year, the Tree of Lights campaign explores ‘The Magic of Hospice Care’ – to recognise the importance of the hospice services being available to everyone in the community, when they need them the most.

Gerard O'Flaherty, the cospice chaplain, added: “You only grieve if you’ve loved. Grief is another language of love. What a beautiful thing it is to love until it hurts.”
