Corby's popular Boating Lake Cafe shuts up shop

A much-loved Corby cafe has closed its doors and will remain shut.

The Corby Boating Lake Cafe was reopened in March 2018 with owner Aaron Wooton forming a new company to run the facility off Cottingham Road.

Mr Wooton had introduced a new menu featuring several different types of breakfast, cakes and snacks as well as a lunchtime menu.

A spokesman for Corby Council said: "The Boating Lake Café is currently closed and will remain so for the time being.

"Corby Borough Council is working to determine the future of the café and hopes that it will reopen in the future."

The cafe, that is owned by Corby Council, had shut at the end of 2017 after the former owners left.
