Oli, who is a member of Corby Amateur Theatrical Society and also has a show on Kettering-based Shire Sounds, has been a fan of musicals since he was little.

He said: "I did a radio training academy three years ago and I have a little studio set up at home.

"I've always enjoyed singing and dancing and going to see shows and I'm always listening to the soundtracks but I'd never really heard them on the radio.

"So I decided that I would start my own show. It goes all around the UK and to stations in central America.

"I talk about the latest shows and what's popular. I know a lot of people can't get to musicals but they still like to hear about them."

Oli will go to London on March 27 to hear if he has won the award.

"I've been and stood outside the BBC building and had my photo taken but I've never been inside," he said. "It's really exciting."

You can hear his two-hour show on Shire Sounds on Tuesdays at 6pm.
