Corby residents treated to thank you message to NHS written across the sky

An airplane pulling a banner across the skies above Corby has been spotted by photographer Shane Davis.

The yellow fixed-wing light aircraft's message was to celebrate the 72nd anniversary since the foundation of the National Health Service.

On Sunday, 5 July, in a ‘pause for applause’ the country took part in a 'Clap For Carers' to thank all those who have been helping the NHS through the pandemic.

A week ago, Friday July 10, a Spitfire emblazoned with 'Thank you NHS' made a flypast over many NHS hospitals including Northampton General.

It is not yet known who is behind the gesture. Anyone with information can email [email protected].
