Cllr Tom Beattie, leader of the council, said: "This is a great opportunity, especially as Corby is one of only 100 towns selected for the scheme.

"We are keen for our resident’s voices to be heard, so I hope lots of people will submit some ideas and please don’t hesitate to contact Corby Borough Council with any queries you may have."

The council is asking residents to submit their ideas on topics from skills, transport, job creation, and regeneration of the local community online.

There will be a Town Board to oversee the project.

The board will be made up of different groups and companies in Corby, from local businesses and associations, to the police and the MP, Tom Pursglove.
