Corby invited to say ‘thank you’ to its key workers in charity competition

People from Corby are being asked to say thanks to the the town’s key workers and help their chosen charity win £150.

The Charity Pot holds various events each year including its popular annual Santa walk to raise money which is then doles out to various charities in the town of Corby and beyond.

Organiser and pub landlord Cliff Morton is running a free competition that will invite entrants to upload their thank you messages to key workers who are helping us through these unprecedented times. The winners in each age category will be able to nominate a charity to receive £150 and will receive a prize of £50 themselves.

The messages can be drawings, paintings, video messages, poems, songs, or any other medium you can think of.

The contest, which will use the hashtag #TCPthankyou, is running until midnight next Sunday (May 10).

Winners will be announced the following day on The Charity Pot’s Facebook page, where more information on how to enter is available.

Cliff, who runs the Knight’s Lodge pub in the town, said: “I’m hoping it will give people something to do in lockdown with a nice prize at the end.”

The age categories are: under seven, 7-10, 11-14 and 15+.
