Experts from Service Six, CIRV (Community Initiative to Reduce Violence), Northamptonshire Domestic Abuse Service, the Neighbourhood Policing Team, Northamptonshire Fire Service, C2C Social Action and Corby Wellness Hub will be on hand to help and advise.

Cllr Andy Mercer, executive member for housing and communities at North Northamptonshire Council, said: “It goes without saying that this year has been extremely challenging in many ways for everyone, especially for those who are particularly vulnerable to crime and abuse.

“With this in mind, we are holding this event in the hope that people will attend this event to get the help and support, they or someone else, might need after a particularly difficult year.”

Interactive activities will also be available, including viewing and experiencing the policing team’s knife arch which is part of their wider strategy to combat and or prevent knife crime. The knife arch scans people as they walk through it and is used to support events and operational activity.

There will also be information and advice on online safety, knife crime, domestic abuse, fire safety, gang-related violence, how to spot the signs of child exploitation, and guidance on how to stay mentally and physically well.
