Corby Council is sending leaflets to residents this week to warn about Coronavirus scams.
The campaign is reminding people to think twice when they are offered goods touted as ways to protect against Covid-19 because fraudsters are selling bogus products with false promises.

Hide AdScammers have been offering virus testing kits, but these are only available through the NHS.
They have also been offering vaccines or miracle cures when no such thing exists yet, overpriced goods like anti-bacterial products, paid-for shopping or medical collection services, and home decontamination services.
If someone is on your doorstep, ask for ID and do not let them pressure you into accepting a service there and then.
Leader of Corby Council, Cllr Tom Beattie, said: "We understand that scammers can be very convincing, especially when your mind may be elsewhere at such a worrying time.

For further advice, you can contact Citizens Advice Consumer Helpline on 0808 2231 133 and you can report a scam to Action Fraud by calling 0300 123 2040.
You should contact your bank if you think you have been scammed.
Cllr Beattie added: "If you have any concerns surrounding this topic, please don't hesitate to use the contact numbers provided.
"Not only will you put your own mind at rest, you may also stop someone from trying to scam others in the community."
