Corby familes will soon be able to get out and enjoy revamped play areas across the town's green spaces.
The play areas at Corby Boating Lake and Wharfedale Road will have their old out-dated equipment replaced and a new play ship will be installed at Glastonbury Road play area replacing its damaged-beyond-repair vandalised predecessor.

Corby Council’s lead member for community, Cllr John McGhee, said: “I’m absolutely delighted that work on our new play areas is underway and following a difficult year, I’m so excited to see children enjoy themselves just as they deserve.
“Corby Council understands the importance of how play and play areas can impact on our children’s well-being.
“Play areas are incredibly expensive and we thank all our partners, public and private sector over the many years in helping raise the funds to upgrade our plays areas.”

There will be something for keep-fit fans too with a hand cycle and seated bike to be added on the town walkway, alongside the other existing fitness equipment.
