Colouring competition brightens Corby Cube
Colourful creativity from Corby children is on display in the town’s library following a competition run by Corby Town Council.
The competition was launched at the Active Families Fun Day held at West Glebe Park in August and called on youngsters in different age groups to put a new spin on Corby’s civic coat of arms.
100 entries were received from children under the age of 12 and the winners in each category have now been selected by the town council.
This week those winners are receiving their prizes – vouchers for toy shop The Entertainer and the Savoy Cinema.
All entries are now currently on display at Corby Library in the Cube.
Mayor of Corby, Cllr Willie Colquhoun, said: “It was wonderful to see a colourful and good creative standard from the Corby children in different age groups. Selecting the winners was difficult, our thanks to all for entering.”
