Colleagues of woman killed in Chelveston 'shocked and completely devastated'
Colleagues of a woman killed in her Chelveston home have said they are 'shocked and completely devastated' at her loss.
Helen Bird, 47, was seriously injured following an incident on the morning of Monday, February 2, inside a house in High Street, Chelveston.
She was taken to hospital but sadly died eight days later.
After a teaching career, Helen had worked for housing association Amplius for 12 years and was its customer voice and influence manager.

A statement from Amplius said everyone was devastated by the tragic passing of their colleague.
Craig Taylor, director of customer operations, said: “We’re shocked and completely devastated by what has happened.
“Helen was a genuinely lovely person, an extremely popular colleague and someone who built up a real rapport with our involved customers.
“She cared passionately about improving people’s lives. That enthusiasm clearly came through in everything Helen did, as she worked tirelessly for our customers.
“Our thoughts are with Helen’s family, her friends and her colleagues at this awful time.”
Amplius has opened a book of condolence for them to pay tribute to Helen as well as offering support for colleagues affected by her death.
A murder investigation has been launched by Northants Police, and James Daniel Bird, 50, of High Street, Chelveston, has been charged in connection with the incident.
Amplius has offices in Rushden, Milton Keynes, Peterborough and Boston.
