Closing date announced for Rushden High Street discount store
The Original Factory Shop in Rushden has announced the date it will close after the company went into administration earlier this year.
The Original Factory Shop has been in Rushden for 17 years, but following news of mass closures, it will leave the High Street on Saturday, March 21.
An update posted to its Facebook page today (March 10) confirmed the ‘unfortunate’ news.
A spokesman said: “We have been given a closing date for Saturday, March 21. Unfortunately not the outcome we would have hoped for but we can only deal with what we have.

“Please do pop in and see us whilst also grabbing some amazing bargains.
“We would really like to stress though, please be kind to my team this is some unfortunate and very sad news, so we are still processing this too.
“Thank you for your support throughout the 17 years we have been in Rushden.”
The Original Factory Shop, which has stores in 137 locations in the UK, went into administration in January, with uncertainty surrounding the fate of its stores and which, if any, would remain open.
The Original Factory Shop has been in business since 1969 offering discounted brand items such as clothing, homeware and toys, but on January 28 this year, administrators were appointed to ‘assess options for the business’, and the brand’s online store closed immediately.
The shop will operate as normal until its planned closure later this month.
