Police officers have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak to after a 17-year-old girl was sexually assaulted in the Needle and Awl pub in Northampton Road, Rushden.

The incident happened on Thursday, February 27, at about 9.40pm, when the girl was approached by a man who made advances towards her - this was before pubs were ordered to close their doors due to the Covid-19 restrictions.

A spokesman for Northants Police said: "Despite rejecting these advances, the man walked past and touched her inappropriately, including slapping her bottom.

"The man in the image or anyone who know who he is should call Northamptonshire Police on 101."

Anyone with information about the sex assault should quote incident number 20000113115.
