Staff at Rushden's Splash pool are working hard to ensure customers can continue to swim despite other venues and businesses closing down due to Covid-19.

The leisure centre posted a picture of staff at the site in Station Road earlier today (Wednesday), and said they remain open 'for the communities we serve.'

"Even now, the guidance is that the health and well-being benefits of keeping active significantly outweigh any risk unless you are advised otherwise by a health professional.

"Our centres remain open for the communities we serve.

"Freedom Leisure is a not-for-profit community leisure trust which manages leisure facilities across the UK and it’s important to us that we continue to serve the local community with our usual, fantastic service we always offer.

"Our staff are at work to keep the centres activities open and are on top of heightened cleaning schedules."
