Popular Northamptonshire coffee chain Bewiched is set to enter the drive-thru market with a new venture at Moulton Park.

The company, which already has outlets across the county including in Northampton town centre, Corby, Kettering, Wellingborough and Rushden Lakes, as well as in Peterborough, is set to open a drive-thru and sit-in coffee house on the industrial estate.

It will be the third entrant to the drive-thru market which is currently dominated by the big two - Starbucks and Costa Coffee.

Matt Fountain, from Kettering, has built the chain from scratch over the past decade. It now serves 18,000 customers per week - preparing half a million cups of coffee every year.

He has agreed a deal with developer Decorum Estates to build the new 40-seat unit which is set to open in early 2021.

He said the food will be made fresh on site and the cafe would have wi-fi and plenty of sockets to allow people to have meetings there.

Matt hopes it will be the first in a series of new drive-thrus if this one is successful. He also hopes to open sites in Milton Keynes and Rugby in the coming months.
