A45 delays following collision involving lorry and Mini near Wellingborough
Delays near the Wilby Way roundabout this morning (Wednesday) were caused by a collision involving an HGV lorry and a Mini.
Police say that while the incident caused delays in the area, there were no serious injuries as a result of the two-vehicle collision.
A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said: "Police were called at 8.22am on Wednesday, June 3, to reports of a collision on the A45 eastbound involving a Mini and an HGV lorry.
“Emergency services attended the scene. No serious injuries were reported.
“The road was affected for a period while the incident was dealt with.”
Eyewitnesses say tailbacks extended from the Priory, towards Tesco, with some delays for those using the A45 between Wellingborough and Rushden.
