Oh deer! Corby firefighters called out after two animals find themselves in a tight spot

Corby firefighters were called out twice yesterday morning (Thursday, May 29) after two hapless deer found themselves trapped in fences.

A crew was called to Elizabeth Street in Corby at about 7.20am when a muntjac deer had become stuck in a gate. The deer was released by the firefighters from Corby Fire Station, using hydraulic spreaders.

In a separate incident just before noon yesterday, crews were called to Burghley Drive where a deer was stuck in a metal fence. No action was taken by the fire service as the animal became free without assistance.

We've no i-deer how they got stuck..
