Milifest 2015 was due to be held between August 6 - 10 at Silverstone Woodlands. Acts including Labrinth, Stereo Kicks, The Hoosiers, Professor Green and Rixton had been signed up to perform.

Founder and organiser Nick Smart said: “It is with deep sadness we regret to inform everyone that we have been forced to cancel August’s Milifest 2015 festival.

“Refunds will be available to all customers at the point of purchase.

“The team has put everything into organising and promoting the festival, and despite healthy ticket sales, we have had to cancel it due to an unexpected and insurmountable legal issue.”

Mr Smart added: “Over the past months we have worked tirelessly to deliver Milifest, but we find ourselves in the position that we are no longer able to do so as a result of this legal issue.

“We do not take this decision lightly and it has been a hard decision to make. We remain convinced the event is something truly unique and exciting in the crowded UK festival sector, and we are truly proud of what we have achieved so far. To that end, we will be back with Milifest 2016.”

A full refund will be available to ticket holders from www.ticketline.co.uk
