New restaurant opening in Wellingborough soon

Mu Mu will soon be serving burgers and steaks as well as cocktails and shakes from its new branch, which is opening in Wellingborough’s High Street at the end of March.

It will be the third branch of Mu Mu in the county alongside its restaurants in Rockingham Road, Kettering, and St Giles Street, Northampton.

It will be serving similar food to the Kettering and Northampton branches, whose menus include pizza, steak, starters, sides and various burgers, including the Jimmy Mu burger with a beef patty, chilli cheese, Mu Mu sauce, grilled jalapenos, lettuce, red onion and tomato.

News of the new branch opening soon has led to a lot of interest on social media.

One person said: “I’ve been waiting so long for this place to open.”

And another said: “We are defo going here.”

The new restaurant will create several jobs and Mu Mu has been recruiting for a number of roles in recent weeks, including head chef, sous chef, full-time supervisor, part-time waiting staff and part-time bar staff.

Mu Mu bosses have also applied for a premises licence for their new branch at 16, High Street.

The application is to licence the premises for sale of alcohol (consumed on the premises) and recorded music indoors.

It also covers the restaurant’s opening hours, which are proposed as midday to 11pm on Saturday, midday to 5pm on Sunday, midday to 3pm Monday to Friday as well as re-opening from 5pm to 11pm Monday to Friday.

And customers don’t have much longer to wait until they can try out the new eatery as it is having its official opening at 5.30pm on Friday, March 31.
