Missing person found after helicopter spotted over East Carlton and Cottingham

A vulnerable missing person has been found safe and well after a long search over rural parts of the Corby borough last night (Saturday, September 12).

About 15 trained volunteers and a dog from Northamptonshire Search and Rescue were out in the East Carlton Park for several hours. They were assisted by members of Leicestershire Search and Rescue.

The police helicopter was deployed from Husbands Bosworth and was also on the scene all evening.

It was reported In the early hours of this morning that the person had been found alive by the emergency services.
