Man suffers facial injuries after Wellingborough knife attack

Police were called to the incident at 4pm outside the Swansgate Centre after a fight broke out between two men.

A 23-year-old man was arrested and is currently being detained by police.

A police spokesman said: “Police attended an incident in Wellingborough town centre at about 4pm yesterday following reports of two men fighting outside the Swansgate Centre.

“One of the men received injuries to his face, believed to have been caused by a knife.

“A 23-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident and is currently in police custody.”
