Johnny’s Happy Place (JHP) is having a night of live music this weekend.
Tickets cost £8 for the fundraiser being held on Saturday (October 20) in Kettering Arts Centre at St Andrew’s Church.
Proceeds from the event will go to JHP, the Kettering-based organisation set up in memory of Johnny Mackay who took his own life in 2014 aged 29.
His family and friends wanted to open an area dedicated to supporting people like Johnny and after being given space at Keystone Youth Centre in Rockingham Road, they opened a cafe there.
The aim of the cafe is to help those with emotional well-being needs, including people paying what they can afford for food and drink and free art classes every Saturday afternoon.
The cafe based at Keystone at 97, Rockingham Road, Kettering, is open from 10am to 4pm on Saturdays and from 11am to 2pm on Sundays.
Doors open at 7pm for this Saturday’s fundraiser, with the live music kicking off at 7.30pm.
Tickets are available from Johnny’s Happy Place, Kettering Arts Centre or Kettering Waterstones. For more information go to www.johnnyshappyplace.com.
