Lane closed on A43 in Northampton due to fallen tree

One lane has been closed on the A43 in Lumbertubs Way, Northampton this evening (March 11) for safety due to a fallen tree.

Lane one - northbound towards Kettering - has been closed by Northamptonshire Highways as a safety precaution as they work to remove the tree.

Northamptonshire Highways said: "We will remove tree and reopen when site assessed and safe. Delays likely and we will update here [on Twitter]."

Emergency services have been dealing with a number of fallen trees after a night of high winds across the county.

Firefighters were called to Rushden earlier today after a tree fell onto a house.
