
A rescue operation is under way in Kettering this lunchtime after a book flooded homes, leaving residents stranded.
A search and rescue boat is currently taking people from their homes in Stratfield Way, near Tesco Extra, to safety.
Many cars are also believed to have suffered serious damage during the Christmas Eve flooding.

One resident said: "The river has burst its banks and it's knee deep in water.
"We cannot get out via car as there is only one way in and out but thankfully the search teams are out with boats making sure people are safe.
"They have been brilliant."
All emergency services are currently on the scene.
The latest incident follows major flooding across the whole county last night and this morning. More rain is expected on Boxing Day.
