Paralympian Julie Rogers was joined by Mayor of Wellingborough Barry Graves at the opening of new facilities at Great Doddington Primary School

Julie Rogers, who took part in the London 2012 Paralympic Games in the sitting volleyball event, gave a short talk about her experiences during the games, when she was aged 13.

The teenager is now studying for her A-levels and was originally taught in reception class by Jo Chapman, who led the project for the new multi-games area and is also a teacher at Great Doddington Primary School.

Jo said: “The Opening Ceremony was an amazing event for the whole school nad the children really enjoyed it.
