Firefighters are warning the public to avoid a Northamptonshire village while they tackle a large barn blaze.

Three crews answered a 999 call to the fire in Medbourne Road, Ashley — on the county border five miles west of Corby — at around 5.30am today (Wednesday).

A spokesman for Northamptonshire Fire & Rescue said: "We have three pumps in attendance at a barn on fire. The fire is now believed to be out but please avoid the area."
