Firefighters had to cut trapped driver out of car after two-vehicle collision in Northamptonshire village

Firefighters and paramedics rushed to the scene of a two-vehicle collision this morning (March 10) in Crick.

The incident happened in West Haddon Road at 9.36am and, by the time firefighters arrived, police and the East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) were already on the scene.

Firefighters used hydraulic cutting equipment to release one of the drivers who was trapped in their car. The driver had suffered minor injuries and was left in the care of parademics.

The other driver involved was medically assessed but had suffered no injuries.

Fire crews were in attendance for approximately one hour.
