East Northants village to host snowdrop weekend

An East Northamptonshire village is to host a snowdrop weekend this month to highlight its display of winter flowers.

St John’s church in Chelveston is holding the event from 10am to 4pm on Saturday, February 13, and from 11am to 4pm on Sunday, February 14.

As well as the display of snowdrops, which usually herald the end of the British winter, there will be a number of stalls.

Admission is free and lunchtime snacks and cream teas will be available all day.

Stalls will include home-made cakes, jams and preserves, snowdrops and aconites, woodcraft, cards and photos and a bric-a-brac.
