Driver escapes injury after vehicle flips and crashes into ditch on Northamptonshire country road

Police say a driver somehow walking away unscathed after flipping his car into a ditch on a Northamptonshire country lane.

Officers came across the upside-down people carrier between Mears Ashby and Wilby, near Wellingborough, at around 6.30pm on Saturday.

They revealed the male driver was "absolutely fine" — although the same could not be said for the vehicle, which wound up on its roof in a ditch.

A Northamptonshire Police spokesman said: "Please remember when driving down a country road, slow down at bends!"
