St Giles Church is displaying the tree at its annual Christmas Tree Festival.

A local firm has acquired and is displaying the tree, which is believed to be Victorian.

This could make it the oldest artificial christmas tree known, but they need experts to identify this.

The 18th St Giles Christmas Tree Festival will be running from Friday (November 25) from 3pm to 9pm.

It will continue to run throughout Saturday, from 10am until 6pm, and on Sunday from 11.30am until 5.30pm.

Accompanied children (16 and under) are free and adults are £2.50.
