Delays on M1 in Northamptonshire after ‘serious collision’ involving four lorries and a car

Motorists on the M1 in Northamptonshire are facing delays this afternoon due to a ‘serious collision’ involving four lorries and a car just outside of Catthorpe.

The northbound and southbound carriageways near junction 19 are currently closed to allow two air ambulance helicopters to land.

The Highways Agency has reported that the collision, at around 3.20pm, involved four lorries and a car.

At around 3.30pm Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue tweeted that it was attending the scene due to individuals being trapped in the vehicles.
