Cyclist suffers serious injuries after A509 crash between Wellingborough and Wollaston

A cyclist suffered serious injuries following a collision on the A509 between Wellingborough and Wollaston on Monday.

The collision happened at about 12.45pm yesterday when a blue Renault Clio travelling on the A509 heading from Wellingborough to Wollaston collided with a pedal cyclist close to the entrance of Abbey Farm.

A police spokesman said: “The 39-year-old cyclist from Wellingborough suffered serious injuries.

“She was taken to University Hospital Coventry.”
