A 77-year-old man was robbed by a group of young people who stole his mobility scooter.

The incident happened in Eastfield Park, Wellingborough, on Monday, February 17.

Northamptonshire Police said: "The man was approached by three young black boys and a young black girl who kicked his mobility scooter and used one of his crutches to hit him."

It happened between 6.20pm and 6.40pm. The youths chased the man's dog away and stole the mobility scooter.

They were seen making off in the direction of Finedon Road.

The scooter is described as a red Invacare Leo and is still missing.

Anyone who sees the scooter or has any information about the incident should call Northamptonshire Police on 101.
