Yobs hit car with smoke bomb in Wellingborough attack

Detectives are hunting yobs who targeted a parked car with a smoke bomb in Wellingborough on Friday night.

Firefighters from the town were called to reports of a blazing Ford Focus in Baker Street at about 9.30pm.

Investigators later confirmed the vehicle's windows had been smashed and a smoke cannister thrown inside, causing major damage to the interior.

A Northamptonshire Police spokesman said: "Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have information which could assist with this investigation.

"If you know anything, please call 101 using reference number 21000223598 or, alternatively, contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555111."
