Three would-be burglars fled from a garden in Wellingborough this week after they were shouted at.

Police are appealing for information after the attempted burglary at a house in Minerva Way at about 7.30pm on Wednesday (January 20).

The occupant of the house heard a loud noise and looked out their rear window to see three youths in the garden.

The occupant shouted at them and they ran off in the direction of the grass area towards Hardwick Road.

A police spokesman said: "The offenders were all male - two were 5ft 10in and one 5ft 3in.

"Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously or running along Minvera Way or Hardwick Road, at the stated time.
