Would-be burglars caught trying door handle of Corby home

A man was caught on a doorbell camera trying the door handle of a house in Corby.

Today (November 23) appealed for information after the incident in Rannoch Way, off Shire Road, which took place at about 6.15pm on Sunday, November 8.

A resident heard a knock at her door but was not expecting anyone so she didn’t answer the door and instead contacted her son.

Footage from her Ring doorbell captured an unknown male trying the door handle, while a second person stood at the top of the driveway before they too approached the front door and tried the door handle.

Images from the footage have not been made available by police.

A force spokesman said: "Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area at the stated time.
