Woman wanted after thief threatened Corby security officer with syringe needle
Anyone with information should call police
Police have released an image of a woman they want to identify after a Corby security officer was threatened with a syringe needle.
The incident happened at the Tesco in Oakley Road between 5.50pm and 6.05pm on Thursday, January 21, when a woman attempted to take four bottles of alcohol without paying.
She then triggered the door alarm but when challenged threatened the security officer with a syringe needle, before leaving the store.
A police spokesman said: "Officers investigating the incident believe the woman in the image may be able to assist with their enquiries, and are appealing for her or anyone who may recognise her, to get in touch.
"Anyone with information is asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101 quoting reference number 2100051696. Or alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111."
