A woman was taken to hospital after she was hit by a car which failed to stop in Desborough.

The 48-year-old suffered bruising to her arm after the incident in Gold Street at about 11.30am on Saturday (July 18).

She had been to a shop and police said she was getting into the passenger side or car when her arm was clipped by the wing mirror of a passing car.

The vehicle which clipped her is believed to be a red Vauxhall Astra and did not stop at the scene.

Witnesses or anyone with information should call police on 101.
